Connect to Wireless

There are several wireless networks on campus for accessing the internet, file shares, and networked printers.

For students, faculty and staff, we recommend you use either the “UO Secure” network or the “Eduroam” network. Both networks allow those with personal Duck IDs to connect to wireless, and keep the connection active until they change their Duck ID password. Note that  a Duck ID password must change every 180 days.

The “UO wireless” network is also useful, but requires users to re-authenticate every day.

COEIT maintains instructions on how to connect to wireless from a Windows computer and from a MacOS computer.

In either case the XpressConnect tools can help your computer or tablet connect to the “UO Secure” wireless network.
